The single biggest question coming in to this 2015 Dallas Cowboys campaign is quite simply: "How well will they run the football?"

After losing DeMarcro Murray, who led the NFL with 1,845 rushing yards in 2014 to the division rival Philadelphia Eagles, all eyes have been on the apparent 'running back by committee' approach the Cowboys are ushering in this season.

We may not know how effective this year's running game will be, but we do know that former Baylor standout Lache Seastrunk won't be part of the equation.

The Cowboys cut ties with Seastrunk Thursday (August 20) as a result of what the Cowboys nation could only hope is too much depth at the position. With Joseph Randle getting the lion's share of first team reps when he is healthy, Lance Dunbar getting more and more opportunities and Darren McFadden returning to the practice field, Seastrunk was at best vying to become the team's fourth back.

Then he appeared to be slated in the fifth spot, as free agent Gus Johnson started the first pre-season game against San Diego, scoring a touchdown and staying in the game until he was sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Lache Seastrunk would rush the ball five times for 16 yards in what turned out to be his first and last game with a star on his helmet.

Seastrunk previously played for the Washington Redskins before he was ousted for trying to improvise too often on the field -- a trait that really drew the ire of his coaching staff. Another team could potentially pick up the former sixth round draft choice, but his prospects of making a 53-man roster seem slim at this point.
