Bowie County Sheriffs Deputies ended up finding four pounds of alleged methamphetamine and made two arrests after a traffic stop.

The driver of the vehicle identified himself as Chance Wayne Duck and was asked to step out of the vehicle. Duck was asked if he had any weapons on his person and he responded by informing the deputies that he did. A handgun was recovered from Duck and his criminal history revealed that he is a convicted felon. Duck was subsequently arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle.

The female passenger was then asked to step out of the vehicle. She initially lied to the deputies about who she is. Deputy Martin recognized her as Alicia Kaye Braley from a recent wanted poster. He pulled up a picture of Braley and confirmed the passenger was in fact her. Braley was arrested for an outstanding probation violation warrant for a previous drug charge.

Lieutenant Allison asked Duck if there was anything illegal in the vehicle he was driving. He confirmed there were illegal substances in the vehicle. A search of the car he was driving produced a total of just over four pounds of alleged methamphetamine. Both Duck and Braley were additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Over 400 Grams.

They were both transported to the Bi-State Jail where they were booked in. Duck’s bonds were later set at $200,000.00 for Possession of a Controlled Substance Over 400 Grams and $10,000.00 for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Braley’s bonds were set at $200,000.00 for Possession of a Controlled Substance Over 400 Grams and no bond has been set for her probation violation on Possession a Controlled Substance Over Four Grams and Under 200 Grams. Both subjects were still in custody at the time of this release.
