A British man is healthy -- and skinny again -- after what he thought was his massive pot belly turned out to be a 42 pound tumor.

For the past 10 years, whatever Jeff Bennett did to try to shrink his growing beer belly wouldn't work; as his belly expanded, he resigned himself to "mid-aged spread" and the taunts of others. However, the U.K. Sun reports the 53-year-old finally saw a specialist when he found breathing difficult -- and he was stunned to discover it was a massive cancerous tumor, not a massive belly, that was literally choking the life out of him.

"The entire middle of my stomach was a tumor," Bennett said. "My left kidney was smashed to hell. It was sitting on my pancreas. Any organ could have given way."

Docs recently removed the massive growth, revealing the skinny man Jeff always was.
