AFSP ‘Out Of Darkness Walk’ Sunday In Texarkana
The "Out of the Darkness Community Walk" will be Sunday at Bobby Ferguson Park.
The Community walk is hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide. The Out of the Darkness Community Walk registration will be at noon, beginning at 12:30 PM. With walk scheduled from 1:15 until 4 PM. This is what the American Foundation Fr Suicide had to say about this years walk:
We're moving forward with plans to host our Out of the Darkness Community Walks in person beginning fall 2021. The health and safety of our participants, staff and volunteers will be our top priorities as we work with local authorities to make decisions about event details, and we'll continue to offer options to participate online and in your neighborhood.
The purpose of this walk is to help educate people on the dangers and signs of someone in need. And to also provide materials to help people battling depression. They will also assist family members that need resources to help their family deal with the loss of a loved one. The fundraising goal this year is $12,000 and they are almost halfway there as of today.
You can walk as far as you can if that's one lap walk or multiple laps. If you just want to come out and support the walkers and their families then please come out. If you would like more information please contact
