Foreigner and Styx are hitting the road with Don Felder for the Soundtrack of Summer tour, scheduled to begin May 16 -- and they stopped by the Ultimate Classic Rock offices to talk about how it came together, what inspired their new re-recording of the Eagles classic 'Hotel California,' and what we can expect to see and hear during the tour.

It's hard to find a rock musician who wasn't strongly influenced by the Beatles, and in a new exclusive video interview Styx, Foreigner and Don Felder talk extensively about their life-changing initial experiences with the Fab Four.

A trio of classic-rock giants will hit the road together this summer for a two-and-a-half-month tour that winds across the U.S. Foreigner, Styx and Don Felder will launch the 'Soundtrack of Summer' tour in mid May.

Styx had just broken through to superstardom when they released their eighth studio album, 'Pieces of Eight.' The album cemented their position as one of the biggest arena rock headlining groups in America -- but it also heralded a change that would ultimately help to pull the band apart.

Since founding their Rock to the Rescue charity in 2002, frequent tourmates Styx and REO Speedwagon have raised money for a growing number of worthy causes. Their latest focus: the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

One of the two most recently discovered moons of the planet Pluto has been given a name that's very familiar to classic rock fans: Styx.

Former Styx frontman Dennis DeYoung brought his solo show titled 'The Music of Styx' to Nashville's historic War Memorial Auditorium on Friday night (June 28). The show is billed as a Styx greatest hits show, and that's exactly what DeYoung delivered, turning back the clock for two hours of pure Stygian magic.

The train just keeps a ‘rollin on ‘The Midwest Rock ‘N Roll Express’ tour, featuring the triple bill of Styx, REO Speedwagon and Ted Nugent. The classic rock collective that earned a prominent spot on our ‘Must-See Rock Concerts of 2013’ list recently made a pit stop in Springfield, Mass. on April 23. According to Styx, their record company has been less than honest with forking over their royalties for the past several years. In fact, the band alleges that the record company went as far as creating a “phony business model” just to avoid paying them – talk about a grand illusion.

Styx, REO Speedwagon and Ted Nugent are all set to hop on board the Midwest Rock 'n Roll Express for a second year in a row.  The joint trek will see veteran rockers visiting a variety of cities in the midwestern and eastern U.S. this spring.

We can't believe we are just now finding out about this...(drunk.)  Tommy Shaw and Ted Nugent had a "Damn Yankees" Reunion of sorts, and rocked it up together with "Coming of Age" in Bangor Maine last weekend.
