Styx, REO Speedwagon and Ted Nugent are all set to hop on board the Midwest Rock 'n Roll Express for a second year in a row.  The joint trek will see veteran rockers visiting a variety of cities in the midwestern and eastern U.S. this spring.  The tour kicks off on April 18 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and is mapped out through a May 19 concert in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.

"Due to the overwhelming success of last year's tour, we are going to once again wind up the juggernaut of 'megatainment,'" says Styx guitarist James "JY" Young in a statement.  "Styx, REO and the Motor City Madman: There aren't enough expletives in my vocabulary to explain how great this is…but I'll try.  This is going to be *$@&#@*&@# awesome!"

Adds REO Speedwagon frontman Kevin Cronin, "Time to strap on our six strings, pack up the trucks and tour buses, get together with our best rock buddies and go out to have some big fun.  See y'all soon."

Nugent, meanwhile, also pipes in about the tour, saying, "When you live the ultimate American guitar player's dream, with the ultimate grinding band, performing the most intense fun songs in the world to the most enthusiastic audiences alive, every tour and every concert is an indescribable celebration.  Styx and REO deserve me."

Styx and REO Speedwagon generally will trade headlining duties throughout the trek.  Pre-sale tickets will be made available soon via Styx's and REO Speedwagon's respective fan clubs.  Visit StyxWorld.com and REOSpeedwagon.com for more information.
