I cannot stand Kurt Busch. Fact of business, I prefer to call him Kurt Douche. I thought he might straighten up some after Jimmy Spencer punched him in the mouth, and broke some teeth.
Memorial Day weekend is HUGE for motorsports, with the Indy 500 and the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 on the same day. In the Indianapolis 500 the win went to Dario Franchitti, and in the Coca-Cola 600 Kasey Kahne got win number 201 for Hendrick Motorsports.
At the end of the NASCAR All-Star race Saturday night in Charlotte it was only about the money, and Jimmie Johnson collected a little over a million dollars.
It was Jimmie Johnson that took the checkered flag to win the Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Speedway Saturday night. The win marks the 200th NASCAR Sprint Cup Victory for car owner Rick Hendrick and his team Hendrick Motorsports.
With a restart, and only 8 laps to the checkered flag, everybody was hoping it would be Earnhardt Jr., but Kyle Busch was able to pull away from him to get the win, his fourth straight at Richmond International Raceway.
The weather conditions definitely worked out in Denny Hamlin's favor earning him his second win of the season, and his first at Kansas Speedway in today's STP 400. This is his 19th victory in his Sprint Cup career.
When Greg Biffle showed up at Texas Motor Speedway he was the points leader. He started the Samsung Mobile 500 as points leader, and after a victory Saturday night, he left Texas as the Sprint Cup points leader, and Roush Fenway Racing had swept the weekend in Ft. Worth with wins in both the Nationwide Series Friday, and Biffle's win in the Sprint Cup Race.
It was a great weekend at Texas Motor Speedway with our Ultimate NASCAR Weekend winners, Jacob Harvey and Jan Frantz. These are just a few of the photos from the Samsung Mobile 500.
Jimmy Johnson may have dominated most of the race but in the end it was Greg Biffle and Roush Racing in Victory Lane at Texas Motor Speedway! It almost seemed as if Biffle was "holding back" until the right moment to let that big dog of a Filtrete Ford eat.
Not only are we super excited about the night racing scheduled for Texas Motor Speedway this Friday April 13th, and Saturday April 14th, but there's a huge list of events around DFW all week, leading up to the main event with the Samsung Mobile 500 racing under the lights.
The craziest part of the Goody's Fast Relief 500 were the last few laps, and at the end, it was Ryan Newman taking home the Grandfather Clock Trophy. This was Ryan's first victory of the season, his first at Martinsville, and the 16th of his career. This is the third win for Stewart-Haas Racing this year.
