It was Jimmie Johnson that took the checkered flag to win the Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Speedway Saturday night.  The win marks the 200th NASCAR Sprint Cup Victory for car owner Rick Hendrick and his team Hendrick Motorsports.

Imagine the excitement and nerves in the Johnson pit, as they went in to the final laps of the race, the team knew they didn't have enough fuel to finish without a pit stop giving up valuable position.  Johnson saved fuel every way he possible could.  He was shutting off the motor and coasting on late lap caution laps to save gas, and team owner Rick Hendrick was pacing pit road with his nerves all fired up thinking they weren't going to make it to the end.

This marks the the 56th Sprint Cup Series victory for Jimmie Johnson, a five time Sprint Cup Champion. This breaks a tie with Rusty Wallace for 8th on the all-time list.

Next week, it's off to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the NASCAR All-Star Race.  The field is put together from race winners in 2011 and 2012, former All-Star winners, past Cup Champions from the last 10 years, the first and second place finishers of the Sprint Showdown which is held before the All-Star race, and one driver that will be voted in by fans.

You can watch the All-Star Race next Saturday night on "Speed", at 6 p.m. central time.
