Fire investigators continue to look into the deadly overnight fire that claimed the life of an elderly Texarkana Texas couple. The blaze in the 6800 block of Richmond road took the life of an 86 year old man and his 87 year old wife. The blaze likely started in a laundry room in the carport area. No foul play is suspected.
It’s the annual Toys for Tots-Toy War going on today at both the Texas and Arkansas Side Wal-Marts in Texarkana. The Marine Corp and Townsquare Media are putting this on again this year. Please drop off new unwrapped toys or your cash donations to help give Christmas gifts to needy children in our area. Kicker 102.5/Power 95.9/ Eagle 106.3/ Mix 93.3/ and KOSY Rejoice 790 am are involved with the local Marine Recruiting office in this great cause.
The Downtown Texarkana Annual Christmas Parade is happening tonight in Texarkana. The parade which was re-scheduled from Monday because of rain will begin at 7pm and follow the usual downtown parade route. It will include marching bands, floats, animals, and of course Santa Claus.
Texas Rangers free agent C.J. Wilson is considering signing with the rival L.A. Angels, at least that is the speculation coming out of the baseball winter meetings that are being held in Dallas. The L.A. Angels have reportedly agreed to a deal with Free Agent Albert Puhols.
Congratulations to several Arkansas High Football players who have been named to the 6A South All Conference First Team. They include seniors Elgie Richards, Jared Brown, Chris Stewart, and junior Ke’Darious Grissom.
