Multiple media reports say former Arkansas Assistant and current Weber State Head coach John L. Smith is taking over at Arkansas under a 1 year deal. Smith will replace Bobby Petrino who was fired earlier this month for his affair with football employee Jessica Dorrell

A Southwest Arkansas man who was suspected of kidnapping his young daughter has turned himself in to authorities at a Texarkana Attorney's Office.
Severe Weather Possible Across Area Again Today
Another round of severe weather is possible across the Four States Area again today. Yesterday several trees were blown down on homes in the area including one in Nash Texas just outside Texarkana.
Road Repairs in Texarkana Arkansas
The Texarkana Arkansas City Board of Directors are asking voters in the city to approve the extension of a bond issue to repair roads in the city.

Red River Flooding
The Red River is expected to get out of banks over a portion of NE Texas over the next few days. The Red should crest a little above a foot over flood stage near DeKalb at Pecan Point.

Texas A&M-Texarkana officials now say a health scare involving A student possibly having Viral Meningits proved to be false. The University alerted students, faculty and the public in February of the possible case due to the serious nature of meningitis

Bomb Threat Suspect Arrested
A Bomb threat ended with the arrest of a local man. Texarkana Arkansas Police responded to the Dollar General Store in the 1300 block of Dudley Street. Witnesses say a suspect entered the store filled his basket with merchandise and then was unable to provide payment and was asked to leave the store

The snow didn’t last long yesterday after a cold rain washed most of it away by afternoon. However the 1 ½ inches did last long enough for my 9 year old son to build a snowman.

Winter Weather Advisory remain in effect until Noon today across the northern portion of the four states area. Bridges and overpasses have some ice on them and there have been reports of several accidents on Interstate 30 and the Loops around Texarkana
