So many folks are seriously concerned about climate change these days that it's enough to make you sweat bullets before the real heat even gets here. Maybe you didn't notice how hot it was yesterday? Did you know we broke a record for the heat on Tuesday, May 7? We did.

The East Texas Food Bank (ETFB) had a ribbon cutting for the new Texarkana Resource Center that will open on Tuesday, May 14. The new Texarkana Resource Center is located at 3019 S. Lake Dr. in Texarkana.

A large sting operation took place over a few days and multiple law enforcement agencies captured and arrested 5 men in the Texarkana area for alleged online solicitation of a minor and solicitation of prostitution.

Summer is almost here and so is Kids' College 2024 at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana, but you better hurry, registration ends on Friday, May 10, 2024.

The I-40 Corridor between Little Rock and Memphis is plagued with illegal drugs running as always, just as is I-30, I-20, I-10, and so on. Most recently, it seems as though the Arkansas State Police have been winning the battle, seizing almost 900 pounds of illegal drugs in a recent 10-day period.

It might be May but it doesn't look like the April showers are quite done. There was a pretty big jump up from last week's number totals, your Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies had 93 total arrests, 27 of which were by BCSO, and another 66 were turned over by other law enforcement agencies to Bowie County.

Texarkana Police need your help in identifying two men who allegedly burglarized at least one business if not more in the Texarkana area last weekend.

I saw this information pop up today and my first thought was, I wonder where, and or if, the one I'm most familiar with, Miller County, shows up on that list? The answer is, it does. Whew!
