I saw this information pop up today and my first thought was, I wonder where, and or if, the one I'm most familiar with, Miller County, shows up on that list? The answer is, it does. Whew!

Where Do We Begin?
Let's start with how many counties Arkansas has, the answer is 75. So, doing the quick math that means 45 did not make this list. According to the United States Census Bureau, Arkansas has a population of 2,915,918, ranked 32nd overall in the United States. The land area of the state is just over 52,000 square miles giving Arkansas a population density of 56 persons per square mile.
Each county in Arkansas has a County Judge and Justices of the Peace. The state has 311 cities or towns with a population over 500 and 191 towns with a head count below 500 persons.
