I was tasked with coming up with a list of things, that might make some sense to folks that are from these parts...  See? Even "from these parts", may be a simple term, that sets our neck of the woods apart from people that live in other parts of this big ol' world.

I was born in Texarkana, as a matter of fact, I was one of the last babies born in the old St. Michael's hospital.  I have lived here most of my life, but there's a problem... I am lazy... I'm known for it, just ask around, but I know that nobody knows about our hometown more than YOU do.  So, I am hoping you will add a comment or 3 below, and add to the list... (Please?)

You know you are from Texarkana when...

1.)  You have been to a pasture party 5 miles down a deserted dirt road.

2.)  You have "Cruised State-line".

3.)  You think the four food groups are pork, beef, chicken, and sweet-tea.

4.)  The Gazette covers local, national, and international news in 2 pages, and 6 pages for sports.

5.)  When "Vacation" means Hot Springs, Dallas, or maybe Branson.

6.)  When you pronounce "Wamba" as "Wamba".

7.)  When you pronounce "Wamba" as "Wambi".

8.)  You know what "The Shuffle" is.

9.)  You know at least two people that have hit a deer.

10.) You count the seasons as "almost Summer", "Summer", "Still Summer", and "Football".

11.) You measure distance in minutes... "Fouke is only 15 minutes that way."

12.) You know what the "Rockhouse" is.

13.) You go to Walmart, and it becomes a social event.

(Alright, the rest is up to you.... let's see your comments.)
