Wife Accused of Throwing Knife at Husband After He Asks for Divorce

A wife was reportedly so upset by her husband’s request for a divorce, she allegedly threw a knife at him, Northwest Florida Daily News reports. According to a police report, officers were called to the couple's home in Crestview, Florida, but the husband refused medical treatment because the knife had not punctured his skin.  The man told officers he had he’d asked his wife for a divorce a few hours earlier and he had been avoiding being in the same room “to prevent further argument.” Police say the wife tracked down her husband in their garage and when he tried to re-enter the house, she “grabbed and pulled him by the back of his jacket...causing him to fall through an end table onto the ground.”  Investigators say when the husband tried to leave, the wife picked up a knife and threw it, making contact with his right side. The wife has been charged with aggravated battery.
