When Will Water Parks Open in Arkansas? Here’s What We Know
Summer is almost upon us the kids are done with school work and it's warming up outside too. One of the best ways to cool off is to grab the family and head to a water park. The big question is when will water parks in Arkansas open and what to expect?
The state of Arkansas may still be in Phase 1 of reopening water parks have the go-ahead to re-open at a 50% capacity and theme parks at 30% capacity on May 22.
Holiday Springs Park at 5501 Crossroads Pkwy in Texarkana, Arkansas, According to their website is planning on opening this Saturday, May 23. Their Facebook page on May 8 said "later this month." We contacted the park and they are waiting on a last inspection that will be held Friday, May 22. Fingers crossed!
To open, water parks must adhere to new safety policies and regulations. Some of these include social distancing guidelines that must be met. No entry if you've had fever, symptoms or have had contact with a positive patient. They must stay at 50% capacity and a 6-foot physical distancing in all areas.
