With summer fast approaching so is the hot weather, what better way to beat those long hot summer days than by staying cool at a water park. There are several great water parks within driving distance of Texarkana but have you heard of NRH2O?

NRH2O in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex has steadily become one of the Top 10 ranked water parks in the nation, according to USA Today. In fact, it's ranked #2 on the right behind Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.

NRH2O Family Water Park is situated in North Richland Hills, this 17-acres park features the world’s largest uphill water-coaster Green Extreme that is over 1,100-feet long and 81-feet high.

There are 22 water slides of every shape and size and a massive 660-foot-long endless lazy river, one of my favorite things to do at a water park. Sun-seekers will also love working on their tan and swimming in the 12,000-square-foot wave pool including a swimming hole with a 5-level water playground for the kids.

There’s even a white sand beach where guests can enjoy a game of volleyball and when you get too hot, cool off in a 5,300-square-foot-pool. NRH2O also offers dive-in movie nights, music festivals, and firework shows during the peak summer season.

The park is now open on weekends and opens daily beginning Memorial Day weekend and running until August 14. Then back to weekends through September 24. NRH2O is a city-run water park with plenty of perks like coolers, parking, and water tubes FREE. You can also bring your own at no cost.
