The Bowie County Sheriffs Office says a traffic stop by deputies ended up being a drug bust. Two local men were arrested in connection with the case.

Deputy Danny French noticed a Jeep pulling two homemade trailers on FM 3098. The license plate was fictitious and was returned to a pickup.
After consent to search was obtained, authorities say they found drug paraphernalia and 21 grams of methamphetamine.
Deputies arrested 39-year-old John David Martin and 45-year-old Jamey Leon Plunk both of Simms, Texas. Bond was set at $40,000 on drug possession charges. The investigation is continuing.
