We hope everyone had a great Easter holiday this past weekend, but we all know it wasn't great for everyone. There were 70 total arrests in Bowie County the week of Easter, which ticked up a few from the previous week. Bowie County deputies brought in 25 of those, while other area law enforcement agencies brought in 45.

Bowie County deputies were dispatched to a disturbance call in the 100 block of Bateson Lane on Wed. January 31, around 9:35PM. The information provided by the caller was that a white male wearing blue jeans, no shirt and a teal colored hat was intoxicated at this location and causing the disturbance.

A correctional officer and a visitor at the Bowie County Jail Annex in Texarkana have been arrested for possession of marijuana.

A routine traffic stop turned into much more for a Bowie County Sheriff's Deputy over the weekend.

Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies say they have arrested two suspected thieves involving a trailer and numerous other items.

The Bowie County Sheriffs Office says a traffic stop by deputies ended up being a drug bust. Two local men were arrested in connection with the case.
