Every year the FBI and Department of Public Safety for the Great State of Texas put out crime statistics for every city and county in the state. If you combine those stats with population figures you can get rudimentary figures on the number of crimes per population for any given area. If you reduce those fractions down to numbers you can wrap your head around then you come up with the figures below. These are just statistics and in no way an indictment for or against any given place to live in the state.
