TISD To Provide Free Meals For Remote Students

Texarkana Independent School District will provide free food for remote virtual students.

Beginning Friday the TISD school district will provide to all remote at home students five days worth of labeled meal components (loaves of bread, gallons of milk, bags of fruits, vegetables, and protein sources) for 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches.

The student must be present to receive meals or parent/guardian must be able to
show proof of student enrollment (student ID, report card) at the time of pick-up.

The program will run through December 31 based upon the Texas Department of Agriculture funding.
