Three Charged With Assault With Deadly Weapon in Texarkana
Bond has been set at $100,000 each for three people accused of assaulting two others with a baseball bat and brass knuckles in Texarkana last month.
Charges have been filed for Assault with a Deadly Weapon after a property conflict that happened in the 3700 block of Magnolia Street in Texarkana, Texas.
The alleged assault happened around 2:30 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2023, Texarkana Police got a call regarding a disturbance at the Magnolia Street residence. The two victims, in this case, said that Ashley Sprayberry, her daughter Madison Sprayberry, and boyfriend John Thompson, pulled up to the victim's house and began arguing, accusing one of the victims of taking items without permission when he moved out of Sprayberry's home. The report says that during this altercation, Madison jumped on one of the victims and began kicking her while she was on the ground, and hit her with what she thought were brass knuckles. That's when Thompson allegedly hit the other victim several times in the face with a baseball bat. The victims said that Ashley had driven Madison and Thompson there and was laughing while the victims were being beaten.
The report on the Texarkana Texas Police Facebook Page says;
When it was all said and done, both victims were hurt pretty badly and had to have several stitches to their head and face.
The investigation took several days to complete, after which, Texarkana Texas Police Detective Tabitha Smith obtained felony assault warrants against the three suspects,. All three were arrested at their home in the county by Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies. and booked into the Bi-State Jail. The bond has been set at $100,000 each.
At the last report, all three were still in Bi-State jail.
