This Arkansas Train Ride Takes You Through Beautiful Fall Foliage
It's that time of year to see the beautiful changing colors of the leaves in Arkansas and we found the best way ever to see the fall foliage. On a train ride.
That's right, a train ride on the Arkansas-Missouri Railroad. It will take you through all the fall foliage. The old train, with vintage cars from the 1920s to the 1950s, will take you not only through little towns and tunnels but also it will give you the chance to see all those fall colors.
The train has different cars that you can tour. Bring your camera and take photos of the beautiful terrain. Mid-October through mid-November is the best time to take this train ride for the fall colors. One of the most popular cars is the panoramic car with high windows to get a great look at the scenery.
There are a few different train trips to choose from like the 70-mile train ride on the Arkansas-Missouri railroad from Springdale to Winslow or Van Buren to Winslow. Both of these train rides take you through the Boston Mountains range of the Ozarks.
You can take a day-long trip that is 134 miles round trip starting in Springdale and see the Ozarks with a three-hour stop in Van Buren to check out the town.
