DID YOU KNOW... BSR Cable Park in Waco, Texas has the world's longest lazy river, yes, the longest (man-made) lazy river on planet Earth is down the road a few hours in Waco. Definitely deserves to be a part of our 'Worth The Drive' series.

I know I'm a little behind on new watersports tech so it took me a few minutes to realize what the heck a "Cable Park" is, a Cable Park literally uses cables to pull you across the water, no boat necessary but still tons of fun.

No cables are needed for the World's longest lazy river though, just an innertube and maybe a beverage or two. Maybe that should be the World's longest "man-made" lazy river, cause I'm thinking the Brazos River has it beat.

BSR Cable Park has been open for a few years now and the gate are open now, but COVID was tough last year when it shut down most everything. Well, last year is over and this year is officially underway.

Check out the water slide called the Royal Flush which sends you shooting into the air, very high and very far. Watch the video, it looks amazing.

Now they have recently added the surf pool, this is about as cool as summer gets if you don't live on the beach.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
