The Who to Perform at the ‘Grammy Nominations Concert Live’ Special
It's a big year for the Who and it will get a little bigger on Dec. 5 when the band performs at the 'Grammy Nominations Concert Live -- Countdown to Music's Biggest Night' special.
The band, who are Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, will be on hand as some of the nominees in music's biggest categories are revealed. They'll be joined on the bill at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena by country superstars Hunter Hayes, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, alt rockers .fun, and pop stars Maroon 5 and Ne-Yo.
LL Cool J and Taylor Swift will co-host the special that takes place at 10PM ET/PT on CBS. Presenters for the 'Grammy Nominations Concert Live' will be revealed shortly. This marks the fifth year of the Grammy Nominations concert and a full list of nominees will be revealed at the Grammy website as soon as the television special concludes. The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will take place at Los Angeles' Staples Center Sunday, Feb. 10, and will air at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.
As for The Who, the band has been enjoying the positive returns from their 'Quadrophenia + More' tour in which they've been revisiting the classic album live. The group also recently issued their 'Live at Hull 1970' concert performance as a double-CD offering for the first time. The band will also perform at the Dec. 12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert.
