Texarkana Mexican Restaurant Closes its Doors Permanently
These past couple of years have been really difficult on the restaurant business from trying to recover from a COVID hangover to trying to maintain employees and supply shortages. Unfortunately, another Texarkana restaurant has permanently closed its doors.
Camino de Guanajuato a local Mexican restaurant located at 607 51st Street has officially closed. The restaurant was located in the former Amigo Juan building just off I-30 on the Arkansas side of town. We were unable to contact the owners for more information.
Camino de Guanajuato opened its doors in the Spring of 2019 and served a variety of traditional, authentic, and Tex-Mex food. They also had a fully stocked full-service bar offering some fantastic drinks and other beverages.
So, what would you like to see go in that building? I personally, would like to see a Posados restaurant go in there but they've already got two in Shreveport so that probably won't happen but it was just a thought. Then there is the Jalapeno Tree in Marshall they have pretty good food too.
