Texarkana Beer Derby Benefiting The Stuff The Bus Campaign

Here's a fun way to help the United Way of Greater Texarkana's Stuff the Bus school supplies drive to help kids whose families can not afford the school supplies for the upcoming school year.

It's the first Texarkana Beer Derby at New Haven Golf Club on Saturday, July 14 at 5:30PM. Entry is $25 for runners and non-runners. Sign up at runsignup.com. There will be draft beer specials, food and great door prizes. Plus, a free t-shirt and a pint glass to all the participants.

Now you might be asking "What is a beer derby?" Well, first of all it's fun! But, for a more in depth description...The Beer Derby consists of a one-mile run around the New Haven driving range. Every quarter mile, you drink a beer.
