Did you know that pumpkins are packed full of beta-carotene, an antioxidant known to help prevent cancer from forming?  In honor of those cancer-fighting powers and the fall season, HealthCARE Express has created a mini pumpkin patch outside of their clinic.

The community is welcome to come visit their clinic at 4701 W 7th St, Wake Village, and 125 Arkansas Blvd, Texarkana to take photos at the Pumpkin Patch. After taking pictures at the photo-op location, post the pictures on Facebook with the hashtag #HCEPumpkins4Cancer for a chance to win a catered Thanksgiving meal.

The Pumpkin Patch and its photo-op spot are free to the public, but all donations from as small as $0.25 to as much as $100 (or more, if you’re generous) are welcome. All donations will be split evenly to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and St. Baldrick’s Foundation, an organization whose focus is raising money to help children with cancer by funding cancer research.

Visitors who would like to donate to this cause can drop their donations off at the front desk at HealthCARE Express.
