The unexpected death of Ten Years After's Alvin Lee left many of his peers offering tributes, condolences, and memories -- including Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, who recently spoke about the way Lee helped Sabbath get a leg up during its early years.
Few bands would turn down having Tony Iommi backing them up, and soon more bands will get the chance. The Black Sabbath guitarist has a treasure trove of riffs laying around, unused, in his studio. Queen's Brian May has inspired Iommi to put them to good use.
It seems to have all started with a report in Britain's "Birmingham Mail" tabloid that said the original Black Sabbath lineup is reuniting for a new album and tour. They even quoted guitarist Tony Iommi. Unfortunately, it's not true. At least not YET.
