We stirred up a bit of controversy when we reported that Texarkana, Texas was ranked second most dangerous city in Texas. Well, now there's a report that both Texarkana Arkansas, and Texas are among the Top 100 Most Dangerous Cities in the U.S..

Texarkana, Texas Police issued a press statement that officers responded to an apartment complex in the 5900 block of Richmond Road in reference to a shooting call on March 10, 2014, and found a female gunshot victim.

A little after noon today, (2/19), Texarkana, Texas Police responded to the 2700 block of New Boston Road in reference to a man with a gun call. The suspect refused to cooperate with officers, and police used less than lethal "bean bags" to arrest the man.

Lisa Thompson, a mass communications graduate from the University of Central Arkansas is the new public relations officer for the city of Texarkana, Texas.

The Texas Side City Council meets tonight beginning at 6pm.
