Northbound lanes of the US 59 overpass crossing Interstate 20 in Marshall are scheduled to be taken down the night of Sunday, January 9. In preparation, traffic over the bridge is tentatively scheduled to be restricted to one lane in each direction this week.

Travelers through Texarkana this week can expect traffic delays as more I-30 construction work continues the remainder of this week, weather permitting. The areas affected will be the I-30 and I-369/US 59 commutes.
Getting around downtown at the Post Office/Courthouse is a little tedious but the end result of the Courthouse Square Connections Project will be so worth it. Starting tomorrow Wednesday, April 28 they will be changing things up a lot. Road work will be taking place on the road that circles around the courthouse.
The I-30 Widening Project near Texarkana continues to progress. All closures are subject to change based on weather and other circumstances. But here is what to expect as they move from Phase 1A to 1B beginning this week November 1.
Back in 2017, there were reports that I-30 would be expanded to more lanes in a 6-mile stretch as it runs through Texarkana. Looks like we are getting closer and closer to that reality.
