Congratulations are in order for the Texarkana Texas Arts and Historic District as they have been awarded some funds from the Texas Commission on the Arts with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts. More great news for downtown Texarkana! Texarkana was awarded a big grant to help with the improvement to the courthouse area downtown and more. The Texas Commission on the Arts Board of Directors met last week and voted to award $56,000 to the Texarkana Arts and Historic District for a Texas Cultural Project grant.
