Spring Lake Park Splash Pad Opening Delayed [Update]

Last week I told you that the Texarkana Rotary Club Splash Pad at Spring Lake Park would be opening on June 5, but unfortunately, the opening has been delayed.

Brookstone the Communication Manager with the City of Texarkana, Texas has reported that parts are on backorder and have not come in yet to complete the maintenance work that is needed to open the splash pad. Park and City officials are optimistic that the parts will come in soon and are still hoping to open it up sometime in the month of June. The splash pad has been in operation since 2011 when a joint venture between the City of Texarkana, Texas was formed with the Texarkana Rotary Club to establish the splash pad.

When the Splash Pad does open it's expected to be open from 9 AM - 7 PM daily until the end of summer.

One of the popular features that kids love is the giant pelican that dumps and spews water from overhead onto the kids standing below it.
