Russell Wilson threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns -- both to Jimmy Graham -- and the Seattle Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals, 22-16, on Thursday night. The victory was bittersweet for Seattle (6-3), which lost cornerback Richard Sherman, likely for the season, to a ruptured Achilles.

The Seahawks defense kept Adrian Peterson in check, limiting him to 29 yards on 21 carries; they also forced him to fumble and tackled him in the end zone for a safety.

Drew Stanton threw for 273 yards and a touchdown for Arizona (4-5). Larry Fitzgerald caught 10 passes for 113 yards. The Cardinals played surprisingly well, but they never led in the NFC West showdown.

Sherman, who said after the game that his Achilles had been bothering him all season, was injured in the third quarter. He did not return to the game.
