There seems to be some people extremely upset that FEMA won't offer any assistance in rebuilding their "second homes" that were lost, or damaged in Superstorm Sandy.

Apparently a bunch of vacation homes were damaged in New Jersey, and the owners have asked for FEMA's help in rebuilding.  FEMA said no.

The agency is putting all focus on people that lost their actual homes were wiped out, and have no place to live. (Yes... this time FEMA got it right.)

Fact is, FEMA isn't really supposed to be the first option.  People file on their insurance first. Then, FEMA will help people cover what isn't covered by insurance with grants, or low interest loans, up to $31,900.
