The general public is invited to a rally in Texarkana to RiseUP for the Children and bring awareness about sexual abuse of children and knowing the signs to look for.

The rally and meeting will be held in front of the Post Office Building in downtown Texarkana Saturday, August 15, beginning at 4PM. After everyone is gathered a  peaceful march will begin at 4:30PM and will proceed down Main and Broad Street ending at the new entertainment venue Crossties where a powerful video screening will be presented at 7PM with guest speakers from local organizations such as CASA, an information booth, and bounce houses for the kids.
According to the latest statistics, "Each year over 300,000 children become victims of sexual exploitation right here in the United States and one in four girls will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday and one in six boys will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday."
So, come join the rally this Saturday, August 15, from 4-7 as citizens of Texarkana gather to give a voice to those who can not speak. Everyone is encouraged to bring a sign to show your support because together we RiseUP for our children!
