Railfest 2012: Fireworks Too!

The talking is almost over and the fun is about to begin, Railfest 2012 is this Saturday.

Join us starting at 11:00 a.m. when the gates open for all the daytime festivities like free bounce houses for the kids, crafts booths and vendors of all types, lots of great food and drinks plus a beer garden.

Big Jake’s BBQ is hosting a championship barbecue cook-off with trophies and cash prizes, including a $1,000 prize and a big trophy to the first-place winner, $350 for second place and $150 for third.

At 5:00 p.m. everything will wrap up for the daytime activities, the gates will be closed and re-open at 6:00 p.m. concert featuring Diamond Rio. Local favorites Copper Road will start the music around 7:30 p.m.

After Diamond Rio there will be a short fireworks display to signal the end of Railfest 2012, with a “train song” soundtrack.
