The Texarkana Museum Systems presents "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Chugga Chugga Choo Choo" Saturday at the Historic Ace Of Clubs House in Downtown Texarkana.

This great event will be held at the famous "Ace OF Clubs House" in downtown Texarkana. This event is a part of three separate events that will highlight the great history of Texarkana on how people were able to see the country through various means of transportation.

This is what the Texarkana Museum Systems had to say about this weekend's Planes Trains and Automobiles Chugga Chugga Choo Choo event:

Griff Hubbard, the nephew of Texarkana historian Wilbur Smith, is presenting a lecture and Q&A on the Texas & Pacific Railway Engine #642 on April 16 at 1 pm at the Ace of Clubs House. The Engine passed through Texarkana and had ties to many prominent Texarkana figures, such as Wilbur Smith. Griff Hubbard is a retired railroad man who spent years working with Amtrak.

Griff Hubbard is a fifth-generation railroad man so he knows a thing or two about the railroad history in the Texarkana area.

You can enjoy light refreshments as you learn all about the history of the railroad in Texarkana. This event is free to attend but reservations are strongly encouraged. To find out more you can go to Texarkana Museum Systems.org/events or you can call for more information at 903 793-4831.
