Find Amazing Texarkana History at Twilight Tour of Calvary Cemetery

Looking for something a little different and fun this weekend? Learn about Texarkana's history with the final Twilight Tour of the year with the Texarkana Museum System. Take a stroll through Calvary Cemetery and learn about the early days of Texarkana.
This Saturday, December 3 at 5 PM join in the fun of a living history tour at Calvary Cemetery at 3409 Sanderson Lane in Texarkana, Arkansas. You will learn about the people that settled and founded Texarkana in this guided tour where there will be living history performances at selected grave sites in the cemetery.
The local actors and actresses will take on the stories of Texarkana's past residents and tell us of their lives, where they originally came from and what life was like in the early days of Texarkana. They will also discuss some of the historic burial customs and some of the tombstone symbolism
Tickets are just $15 each or $10 for TMS members. But tickets must be purchased in advance. You can buy your tickets online at texarkanamuseums.org/events
This is a wheelchair-friendly tour. Please be aware that parking is not allowed in the cemetery, you will need to call for directions and parking information.
The fun continues after the tour. Be sure to join the TMS Staff and the Living History performers for a very special Christmas gathering at the P. J. Ahern Home located at 403 Laurel Street in Texarkana, Arkansas.
