First 'smart phones' made me feel stupid, now they make me feel ugly too.  Have you heard of the "Ugly Meter"? That's the new app that could either give you a big ego boost, or a huge punch in the gut.  Lisa got it on her phone, and just had to try it out on us.

The app has been around since 2010, but just recently took off, after being featured by Kelly Ripa, The Daily Show, CNN, FOX, ABC, The Today show and others.  So far the app has generated approximately $500,000 in revenue.

Here's an explanation of how the app works from the website theweek.com,

The app snaps your picture, then "scans" your face, calculating its contours, symmetry, and proportions. The app pronounces your ugliness on a scale of 1 to 10 — with 10 being the ugliest — accompanied by corresponding quips. A low score will earn you praise ("You're so hot that you make the sun jealous"), while a high score will result in insults ("You're so ugly, you could make a glass eye cry")."

So, Ms. Lisa just had to try it out on us... (and we took many photos until we got good scores).

The photos that ranked "Ugly" had comments that ranged from "When you look at water it freezes, so it can't show your reflection", to "When you were born they tinted the windows on your Incubator".  Some of the better photos ranked us, "Your the sexiest person in the room", to the a really weird comment on one of my photos "You are so sexy, astronauts want to explore Uranus"(???).  Aaron's photo was the funniest by far, he is just so damn beautiful that even when he makes a funny face he get's a perfect score...  That's 99 cents wasted!
