It's the Magnolia Downtown Merchant's Fall Festival and Chili Cook-Off Saturday, October 29 with activities starting at 10AM and going on through the evening.

The festival will be held downtown around the historic Courthouse Square. Local merchants will have sidewalk sales and store discounts. Buy baked goods at The New Life Church Youth Group's bake sale.

Be sure to get the kids dressed for the costume contest open to kids 10 years and under at 11AM with registration at 10AM at Aryana's. Then kids can Trick or Treat the rest of the day from noon to 5PM.

If your feeling creative there will also be a pumpkin decorating contest, where pumpkins will need to be turned in by 11AM to Stephens Country Store or Regalia Boutique. Plus, a pie contest at 12:30PM at Jennifer's.

The 12th Annual Store Window Scavenger Hunt will start at noon be sure to pick up the list at Stephens Country Store.

The Magnolia Junior Charity League's Boosters and Big Rigs will be from 10AM to 2PM a the Farmers Bank parking lot. Cost is a donation of either a new package of undies or socks.

Live music with MW2 Band from 4:30PM to 6PM at the courthouse lawn gazebo. Magnolia Arts will show the movie Hocus Pocus on an outdoor screen at 7PM in front of the arts building at 116 S. Washington.

The Chili Cook-Off will be from 5PM to 6PM. Tickets are only $5 with winners announced at 6:30PM. If you are interested in getting a team together it is free to enter but you'll need to contact Leesa Stephen at (870) 234-7662 or Kelli Souter at (870) 234-6356 for rules and registration.
