Lynyrd Skynyrd Headed to ‘Fox & Friends’ TV Show
The members of Lynyrd Skynyrd are heading to the Fox network this week. They will appear on ‘Fox & Friends,’ as part of their All American Concert Series, live from New York City this Friday, Aug. 17.
The band is scheduled to perform new tunes from their upcoming album, ‘Last of a Dyin’ Breed,’ due in stores on Aug. 21, as well as some of their biggest hits, including ‘Sweet Home Alabama.’
Lynyrnd Skynyrd’s performance will take place on the outdoor stage (located directly outside Fox News studio at 48th Street and 6th Avenue) in the heart of Manhattan during the 8:00AM ET hour. The concert is open to the public. Free food will be offered all morning from Famous Dave’s BBQ. Those unable to attend the performance in person are still in luck, as it will be available for streaming live on the internet through ‘Fox & Friends” official website.
In addition to this appearance, Lynyrd Skynyrd will also perform during numerous events around the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida. This includes a show Aug. 26 as part of the awkwardly titled but unquestionably patriotic event ‘Citizens Helping Heroes presents Southern Tribute IV Honoring America’s Heroes.’
The concert will take place at the American Action Network Pavilion at Liberty Plaza (corner of South Morgan and East Whiting Streets, next to the Tampa Times Forum) and is open to paid sponsors and their guests. Also appearing during the four day event will be Kid Rock and country star Trace Adkins.
