Living Well With Diabetes Cooking Classes Offered at U of A Hope
The University of Arkansas Hope will host “Living Well with Diabetes” a Diabetic Cooking Class beginning on Thursday, January 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hempstead Hall.
According to a press release, the class will be taught by Terrie James, County Extension Agent at the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Research & Extension Agency. The class will consist of four sessions on the following dates; January 17, January 31, February 7, and February 21. It is not necessary to attend all sessions. The cost is $10 per session.
The classes will offer tips for managing blood glucose, blood cholesterol and blood pressure, simple meal planning strategies, cooking demonstrations and tasting, hands-on activities, and class discussions. Recipes and materials are provided during each class.
