Forklift Certification Training Class to Be Held at U of A Hope

A forklift certification training class will be held at the University of Arkansas Hope campus on Saturday, August 3 from 8AM to 2:30PM in the Technical & Industrial Building room 160.

The class is $75 per person and is limited to a maximum of 15 participants available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The class is instructed by Iry T. Rice, owner of Rice Safety Consultants. The class is compliant with OSHA specifications and provides a three-year certification.

Accordng to a press release, the Department of Labor requires any forklift operator to hold an OSHA forklift certification. Certification can increase workplace safety and productivity and lower costs. A forklift operator card and certificate will be awarded to attendees after successfully completing the course.
