Learn About Texarkana History in ‘Murder on Broad Street’ Feb. 6
Would you like to learn more about Texarkana's history? It was colorful, to say the least, and dangerous too. Did you know that Texarkana's first mayor was murdered? This will be the subject of a program hosted by the Lindsey Railroad Museum called 'Murder on Broad Street'.
His name was Dr. Henry M. Beidler and he was the first mayor of Texarkana Arkansas.
According to the Lindsey Railroad Museum's Facebook events page:
Texarkana, Arkansas' first mayor led a life of prosperity, turmoil and intrigue and was gunned down right on Broad Street in December 1888!
The program takes place on Thursday, February 6 from 6:30PM to 7:30PM in the Lindsey Railroad Museum located at 202 East Broad Street in downtown Texarkana, Ar. Admission is $5 per person. For more information contact the museum at(903) 748-1235 or visit their Facebook page.
