Kiss Partners With ACC Network, New Song ‘Hell or Hallelujah’ to Open Football Games in 2012
Before some of the biggest games in college football this season, fans will be treated to the newest song from Kiss. ‘Hell or Hallelujah,’ the first single from the upcoming ‘Monster‘ album, will kick off ACC Network telecasts, meaning fans of University of North Carolina, Florida State, University of Miami and many more schools will hear plenty of Gene Simmons and company.
ACC Network telecasts have included rockers and country stars in years past, including Brooks and Dunn, Rascal Flatts, Daughtry and Sugarland. Raycom Sports and the Atlantic Coast Conference partnered to create the ACC Network. Raycom producer Daid Barringer says he’s honored to have the legendary rockers for 2012.
“Kiss music and college football go hand in hand,” he says in a press release. “They are part of the fabric of America and American culture. Their pure, high energy music is going to be a great addition to our games.”
‘Monster’ will be released on October 16. ‘Hell and Hallelujah’ went to No. 1 on the iTunes rock charts immediately after being released as a single. This is the group’s 20th studio album.
