Post Malone’s El Paso Concert Gets the Star on the Mountain Glow
First, The Star on the Mountain lit up white to celebrate the massive BTS tour announcement, and soon it will light up purple thanks to a few BTS fans who raised enough money to light it up again, but tonight it is lit for a very special man: Post Malone
The El Paso Chamber of commerce announced on social media that they would be lighting the star on the Franklin mountains yellow and white in honor of Post Malone’s concert announcement in El Paso.
“In partnership with Live Nation Concerts, we are lighting up the Franklin Mountains to welcome this exciting moment for our city and music fans across the region!”
Post Malone is getting some El Paso Love
This Friday, February 6th, the Star on the Franklin Mountains will illuminate in yellow and white, with the yellow glow celebrating Post Malone’s BIG ASS Stadium Tour, which is rolling into the UTEP Sun Bowl Stadium this May. In collaboration with Live Nation Concerts, the city is literally lighting up the mountains to mark yet another huge win for El Paso and music fans across the region.
Post Malone’s El Paso stop is part of “The BIG ASS Stadium Tour 2”, featuring Jelly Roll and Carter Faith, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest shows Sun City has seen in years.

Post Malone is no stranger to the Borderland. Back in 2018, fresh off the release of Beerbongs & Bentleys, Post famously stopped by Twin Peaks on the west side and most recently, Post even name-dropped El Paso in his new album F-1 Trillion on the track “M-E-X-I-C-O.” At this point, it’s not just a tour stop, it’s a full-circle moment.
