Will Arkansas Get Some Snow This Weekend?
Well, Arkansas didn't receive a White Christmas this year but things are looking possible for snow in parts of Arkansas to kick off the first full weekend of January.
According to meteorologists with KARK-TV in Little Rock Northwest Arkansas, northern parts of the state and Central Arkansas could get some snow beginning on Friday as a very cold significant weather system is likely to track across the state and could have some major implications.
Rain will begin to fall on Friday night into early Saturday morning and depending on weather conditions could turn over to snow. However, the surface temperatures will most likely remain above freezing so if any accumulation it's likely it won't stick around very long, no pun intended.
It's still early in the week so predictions may not be quite as reliable, weather forecasters will get a better picture in a few days. See the latest weather coverage here from the Arkansas Storm Team at KARK.
Rain in the South
Unfortunately, the southern sections including Texarkana are expected to have nothing but cold rain.
