Texarkana ISD’s Morriss Elementary Named Scholar Campus on Texas Honor Roll
Texarkana Independent School District's (TISD) Martha and Josh Morriss Math & Engineering Elementary has been named a Scholar Campus on the 2025 Texas Honor Roll, recognizing its academic excellence and commitment to student success.
Presented by Educational Results Partnership (ERP), the Texas Honor Roll highlights top-performing schools that excel in closing achievement gaps and preparing students for the future. This year, only 12% of eligible schools in Texas received the designation.
Principle Lauren Pilgreen credited the recognition to the dedication of students, teachers, and staff, emphasizing the focus on academic excellence and innovation.

The Honor Roll is the only nationwide recognition program based solely on student achievement data. The program identifies schools where students are mastering essential skills like reading, writing, and math. The Honor Roll initiative also shares best practices to support improved student performance.
The Texas Honor Roll is part of a broader effort to engage Texas business leaders in growing education and workforce readiness. It is also partnered with the Texas Business Leadership Council and other state organizations.
So, congratulations to TISD and Morriss Elementary on this impressive state achievement recognizing your commitment to fostering academic success.
