Halloween is this Friday, and if you aren't in the mood for trick-or-treaters, but you still want to go out and have some fun. The Perot Theatre in historic downtown Texarkana is showing the classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

This classic movie from 1975 stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick and is just the ticket for you and your friends to see on the big screen. There will also be a costume contest, so come as your favorite character and get ready to do the Time Warp.

Rocky Horror Costume Contest in Texarkana

The best character look-alike will be crowned the King or the Queen of the castle. Registration for the contest begins at 6 PM and the contest will take place right before the movie starts at 8 PM.

Ticket Options: General Admission, Virgin Kits, and Bar Crawls

You can get your tickets online. General admission is $18, and the Virgin Package is $28 with a prop kit. No outside props are permitted. Also, check out the Downtown Texarkana Bar Crawl package available on the site as well.

Rock Horror Picture Show at The Perot Theatre in Texarkana

If, by chance, you aren't familiar with The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The story centers on a young engaged couple whose car breaks down close to a castle. The couple goes there for help, and instead they meet a house full of strange characters, including Dr. Frank-N-Furter. A mad alien trasvestite scientist who creates a muscle-bound man named Rocky.

The Perot Theatre is located at 221 Main Street in Texarkana, Texas.
