New Texarkana Location: Discount Store Chain Offers Great Deals!

They come and they go, and each time we hope "this discount store will be a good one," usually, we are sorely disappointed. However, this one just might be worth the wait.

Stretching that dollar is getting harder and harder these days so, like most of you, we are constantly keeping an eye out for the better bargains, and now we have the announcement that a new store is coming to Texarkana soon that just might deliver.

They're not new, just new to us. After doing a little checking there are a number of these outlets across the I-20 corridor, several in Shreveport/Bossier, Marshall, Longview, and Tyler, Texas, and quite a few sprinkled around Dallas/Ft Worth. There are several locations in Arkansas as well, including Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Pine Bluff.

Their motto is "Good Stuff Cheap"... can't argue with that, because that's what we're all looking for. Let's be honest, the last "discount" chain to come to Texarkana, without naming any names, was a complete disaster in my humble opinion. Their motto should have been "Cheap Crap, Cheap". Again, just my opinion.

Ollie's appears to be all over the US, according to the website, and they specialize in other store and manufacturer closeouts and discontinued items. So, the merchandise is changing all the time.

My buddy Mario tells me that he has shopped at the Ollie's in Hot Springs many times and really likes it, I am encouraged.

The "now-hiring" signs are up at the new location here in Texarkana which will be on N. Robison Rd. at New Boston Rd. next to Planet Fitness. If you're looking for work, this just might be a ground-floor opportunity for you. Log on to the website for more.

New Automated McDonalds in Ft Worth, Texas Gallery:

The fact is, this McDonalds is not "fully automated", they have a smaller staff working in the kitchen filling the orders, but the counter-person, all-to-often found with a bad attitude, has been eliminated in this dining concept. This new McDonalds is much smaller and has no seating for indoor dining. This is a take-out-only concept with all staff concentrating on getting the orders right. Will it work? We'll see.
